New hard disk new os?

    ok my hardrive is dieing, making these clicking noise, and im looking to replace it, but i was wondering if i get a new hard disk do i have to buy a new windows os?

    you can get a backup program such as norton ghost or something similar, and copy everything from the dying hard drive to the new one, and it should be fine, and you wont have to reinstall everything.

    as long as you have either your windows cd\dvd or your recovery disks then you don't need to buy a new os disk.
