Help renamed xboxdash.xbe error 16

    Alright I really need help bad...
    have softmodded xbox(evox)
    changed the xboxdash.xbe name
    gives me error 16
    have tried hotswapping
    hard drive is the seagate st310014ace
    how can i unlock he drive to change the name back?

    You should be able to load your game exploit and ftp into the xbox to change the name back.

    You could also unlock your hdd with the eeprom and use xplorer360 to fix the name. (this is also what a hotswap does)

    either way would work

    The instructions for hotswapping say to wait until the white microsoft logo comes up but on mine it doesn't. So there is no way to hotswap because the white loge means that the eeprom chip has recieved the unlock code for the hard drive and ulocked it. Without unlocking, as you probably know, i cant access ftp or xplorer360! any other ideas? and no i don't have my hdd key or eeprom backup(i know, sh*t move).

    Theres one born every day..

    Unplug dvd drive.. boot .. wait for error 12.. hdd will be unlocked.
