I am having trouble with this one. Anyone had any luck with it yet?
I will now check to see if there is a newer version of Fab out there.
If so maybe that will help.

Anydvd and ripit4me works also.
Weird Anydvd + Ripit4me main movie 6400 Mb
Dvdfab Plat 5.0.0.0. Main movie 6272 Mb
Did dvdfab lose something ? I watched Anydvd at 6400 Mb, OK
If it wasn't for bad luck, I'd have no luck!

Good eye! I'll have to keep an eye out for that when I pick it up.

Far as I know The Golden Compass is not released until April 29
How are you backing something up that is not released yet?

Anydvd 6.4.1.2 did the trick. The older versions of anydvd/dvd shrink gave a crc error during the initial quick ananlyzation.
Dvd shrink did show a red bar, even after reauthoring. But it was a false red bar, because the compression tab said 98.
Main movie only: Ignore the red bar warning-it will fit.

I am using anydvd 6.4.1.2 and when I use shrink, it comes up with the red bars but like you said, it may be false.
I will shrink it but it will not let me burn since the movie image exceeds media space.
anyway around this???
Update
I finally figured out a way to do this.
I used anydvd 6.4.1.2 and shrink to first make an image (still has the red bars at end)and then used FixVTS on the files. Then used Shrink again on the corrected revised image and the red bars disappear allowing me to make a good image to burn.
This may have taken longer but it worked for me. I works on both full disc and movie only.

^^Glad you got it.
Usually AnyDvd rips pretty clean files already. I'm kind of surprised you had to use FixVts for additional cleaning.
I wonder if just putting the files through Deep Analysis before hitting Backup! would do the trick.

You guys were able to put this movie on 1 disc? DVD Shrink doesn't let me. Or are you putting it on two discs, and if so how?
Thanks in advance for the knowledge.

I used anydvd and clonedvd to get it to the hd, but shrink says it's a 7hr movie and shows 82hrs to burn. I let it run all last nite, got up this morning and it was at 20%. Tried using dvd fab which burns to hd just fine, but I still have the same problem with shrink trying to burn it.
