ImgBurn makes bad copies

i recently have been using ImgBurn to burn my movies because i had some problems in the past when i used another burning software. but it seems like the movies i burn with ImgBurn have been lesser quality than the ones i burn with my older burning software. the movies play fine but the picture quality seems faded and less sharper than the ones i have burned in the past with other software. any ideas?
