Which one should I get?
SanDisk 8GB Memory Stick Pro Duo or Sony 8GB Memory Stick Pro Duo?
Price doesn't matter. Speed and Performance!!
-Give me some reason & facts why I should get Sandisk over Sony and vice versa.

there no real performance difference and if there way you wouldn't ba able to notice it unless it was a fake.
the only difference for buy one or the other would be the price but make sure its not a fake or it may not work as well.

I would prefer SanDisk over Sony :)
Well, you get more space in SanDisk as compared to Sony :) [Well, dunno for 8GB but sure for 4 & 2 GBs :)]

hi just purchased my memory stick 8gb sony at play.com for 52.99 pounds including delivery, hope it will arrive on tuesday. the reason i chose sony over sandisk was because i have read customers feedback that 8gb sandisk has problem copying some games(i'm not sure). and i hope play.com sells genuine memory stick. i will inform you if its genuine when it arrives.

I bought an 8gb Sony from Best Buy with some gift cards I received and it works just fine. I've also used Sandisk 4gb cards and they are awesome so I really wouldn't be able to say one would be better than the other. Go with what's the cheapest. I mean would shaving a second or two off of file transfers be a huge difference? I've never had any gameplay lag with any game off of the 8gb sony card and I leave my cpu speed on default all the time.

i thought the 8 gigs didn't even regester with the PSPS...only the new sony camaras... hrmm??
in that case..im gonna go with the sandisk's..only cuz they have a much better cost then the sonys...muhahaha i love discounts

Not sure about official fw, but i remember the news of the cfw had a patch to fix memory card sizes bigger than 4gb.
4GB used to be about $200-300, now 16GB are that price. o.O

I have a Sony 8Gig memory stick and it works perfect with no errors so far on my psp. Runs games fine and pc transfer is fine as well. I havent had to run a patch at all. Theres not a big price difference between the sandisk as to the sony, so i would choose the Sony 8gig Memory Stick.
