With any movie, new or old, DVD shrink simply freezes every time I click the "backup" button. Analyzing and all the other stages of the process go just fine, but it never fails that that happens. Anyone know what's causing this or some way to get around it? I'm willing to try nearly anything.

^^Agreed...a clean reinstall is the place to start.
Have you sucessfully used Shrink to make backup copies on the pc your using? Or is this something you're just trying?

Actually no, that's part of why this is so frustrating for me. It's been working just fine for almost a year and now all of the sudden it won't work for me anymore.
By a clean reinstall, I'm assuming you mean deleting everything even associated with Shrink and then downloading a new installer and going on from there. I'll give that a try, and thankfully I already went ahead and ripped the movie to my computer using DVDFab so that's already taken care of. Thanks for the link and the helpful responses.

Are you using vista? If so need to right click on shrink icon and look in preferences for best compatibility for OS. Need to be admininstrator on pc to do this and to use shrink.
If it wasnt for bad luck, Id have no luck!

Are you sure your drive isn't taking a dump?
Do you have another
