using media player 11,if you goto library and bring down the tab underneath, then click media sharing and it should bring up the devices available for sharing, including your 360.if you right click on your 360 and click allow you should be ok to view your files on your pc through your 360

i think if u are going to connect it straight to your pc you have to use a crossover cable instead of a ethernet cable,Your xbox requires it to be conected to a dhcp network for it be able to obtain an IP. Not sure if you can set your pc to be a dhcp server.

This should fix you up.
Go to Control Panel => Administratve Tools => Services
Start SSDP Discovery Service
Start Universal Plug and Play Device Host Service
(To start up a service just double-click on it, set Startup Type to Automatic, and click on the Startup Button)
You should then find that WMP11 Media Sharing will turn on and discover your Xbox. Let us know how it goes.

Thanks for the help. I got the pc to read the xbox and vice versa. I can see my shared folders on my C:Drive an 1 of my USB External Drives but I cannot see the 2 other External HDs. Originally I was able to see them but once I restarted my pc. I could no longer see them. I did notice that everytime I restart the PC my two USB externals switch drive letters. for example. I have my G:TV Juke Box and I have my O:Video Juke Box and when I restart the computer they sometimes switch where my TV Juke Box becomes my O: Drvie and vice versa. Could this be why the xbox doesn't read these two drives shared drives because they keep switching? How do I stop that? Both External drives are USB External Maxtors drives formatted to HFS+. This is so frustrating. I really need help getting these device to be seen. Any help or suggestions would be greately appreciated. I am running XP SP2 under the video blade. No media connect, media center, or media connect is being used. I am using straight sharing through WMP 11.

I've posted my dillema on several forums. I think I have stopmed the computer geniuses of the world becuase no one can figure out why the USB mapping on my external Hard drives keep mapping to a different letter drive every time I reboot my computer.....HMMM I guess I have to search for a different solution to share media off a centralized pc because so far, WMP11, orb, and tversity all have failed to deliver......
