Setup TVersity last night and all works well.
I can stream DVD Movies through to my PS3.
Having said that as it's a wireless connection the movie stops and starts often which kind of defeats the issue.
If I was to 'wire' my connection rather than have it wireless would that make a difference?
At the moment I get 54Mbps wireless and would get 100Mbps wired.
If I give this a go will I need to connect the PS3 to my Router and then my PC to my Router or can I plug my PS3 straight through to my PC via Ethernet cable?

if you really think its the wireless than first try just connecting the ps3 to the ethernet or just the pc to the ethernet. It WILL make a difference. Or if you really can, just do both and save the hassle of testing. either you have really poor quality wireless in terms of your wifi or you're on a bad channel from your router.

100mbps will allow you to stream at higher bandwidths which maybe your wireless can't handle.

I too had the same problem, and it wasnt my wireless connection.
A couple of factors are, the speed of the drive your streaming from, physical memory, and a good defrag and clean up of the drive.
I use I/O Bits defragger and advanced windows care personnal, its set up to defrag the drive at every boot (doesnt slow down your comp).
I have had no problems since, i stream M2TS files encoded at 3000kbps, no slow up or judder.
