driver problem with ubuntu

    ok I just installed ubuntu and well I cant get on the internet I think I need to install the lan driver but I cant find a linux one for my intel DG965WH board can anyone help thanks

    Try "sudo modprobe e1000" or look here: e1000.sf.net
    Google has more than a few places where this has been asked before.

    Extract the archive. Open the README. It has it in very plain English step by step, so I won't repeat it. The steps are so generic that it isn't even funny.

    I don't know whether that module will do the trick or not, Google some more to find out the exact one you should be using or just try all of the ones provided there in order maybe until something works. You'll know you have a network card detected when ifconfig lists one, modprobe won't give any indication of a detected device and will happily execute whether you need it or not.
