I was just wondering if it would be possible to put God of War 2 onto 2 DVD5's instead of ripping it and putting it on one. Like if you put all the files from layer 0 on the first DVD, and the same on the other but with PART2.PAK instead of PART1.PAK. I just thought this could work as long as the game does not use files from both at the same time. I would have just ripped it but I am having trouble with pss downsampler it doesn't work with the PART2 files. Thanks for any replys.

1st PSP: 2.6 > 2.71 > 2.81 > 3.3 > sold (week later 3.5 downgrader came out)

2nd PSP: 2.0 > 1.5 > 3.40 oe-a > semi brick > 3.40 oe-a > semi brick > 3.40 oe-a > semi brick > 3.40 oe-a > semi brick > 3.40 oe-a (was semi bricking evertime i went into the recover menu) > deleted Flash1 > 3.40 oe-a (working perfectly) > 3.71 M33-2 (Via. Pandora's Battery) > 3.71 M33-4 > 3.71 M33-4 (With 1.5 Kernal add-on) > 3.90 M33-3 (With 1.5 Kernal add-on)

Some did this pretty perfectly, but I'm not sure what was done. The end result was was one disc was the wide screen version and the other disc was the full screen version.

That sounds as if they have gone into the .pak files and done some messing. I was just wondering if I could do it stright with just PART1.PAK on one and PART2.PAK on the other. Thanks for the info through thats very interesting. Does any one else know anything?

To me it all sounds like a hassle. I have God of war 2 on one DVD5 disc, and it works great.

Honestly, I just downloaded it as a DVD5 because someone did the hard work for me. I just beat the game today, so I can verify it does work.

Ripping it onto 1 DVD was quite quite time consuming, and the quality of the cutscenes was downgraded somewhat,i cant even remember the steps myself, and i was the first to achieve a 100% working copy of the damn game...there must be a kit for it,i dunno?
Using 2 dvd just gave you the nice quality of cutscenes, but its something i never done

I have tried this guide and it still doesn't wana work with the part2.pss files. They get the error 'illegal bit stream' or something similar. The funny thing is the part1.pss files work fine. Does anyone know how to get past this error?

I am not sure I follow what step your at.

Are you at Step#4

I just walked a fellow through this whole tutorial about a month or so ago and it worked fine for him.

No, I'm at step 13 downsampling the pss files. Half the files have the names PART1________.pss and the others have PART2________.pss. The part2.pss files wont downsample. They get an error (ilegal bit stream error). I have tried eveything, please help.

Ok I have read the other post you posted in about this same error, and no one seems to have a reply.
I checked google and all I can find is that it is probably from corrupt files, but who knows.

I can only wonder if you followed the steps exactly right from the beginning in the tutorial I gave you. I know that works.

Is your GOW II a PAL version or NTSC
