I know most of us are still using DVD Shrink-it but sometimes its a two step process if DVD shrink-it cannot decrypt it.
If its older movies most likely there will be no problem.
If its newer encryption its seems there are some other choices for example Any DVD which covers most decryption needs and runs on your system tray as some driver. At that point then DVD shrink it is still the way to go.
How would DVD fab Platinum compare to DVD Shrink-it using ANy DVD Decrypter?
I know DVD FAb is an All in one process. Does it look as good as Shrink it DVD copies?

.
It is a newer ripper and is regularly updated whereas shrink is not.
Anydvd and shrink make a killer combo IMHO. But I would rip first to hdd, then use shrink

I don't think so ( but that is only my humble opinion)
Thanks
Check out the thread in my sig. I did that comparison some time ago. I can't remember if I tested DVDFab or not. But it gives you a good idea of how well transcoders compare to one another as well as to encoding via DVD-RB.
