every time i try to record or even watch a vhs using the live tv (i have a tv card) it plays for about 3 seconds and then stops. the vcr keeps playing, but it stops displaying it on the computer. i think it might have something to do with copyright protection, and if it does, is there any way to get around it. i also tried using "Sony Click To DVD" and that didnt work either. if anyone can help it would be great. thanks matt
Macrovision copy protection which is what Most VHS and DVD"s are Protected with Can be Disabled on some Capture cards useing varius Methods or Patches on the net But only a few Cards have a Workaround like this, Most of the Time you would need to get yourself a "Video Stabilizer" which is used to Boost the Video signal and Remove the Macrovision ,This device would Plug in between your VCR and your Capture card...These Devices go anywere from $30-$100 depending on the Quality of the device and the features....Cheers
