Just got a new phone contract and instead of going with the annoying cashback stuff i decided to go for a free PS3. I should, hopefully, be getting that in 2 weeks.

Question is has anyone heard anything lately about a 80GB console for Europe? Are they gonna release it?

Or is there going to be a price drop this summer?

Don;t know if I should keep the 40GB console i will get, or if it's better selling it and getting it cheaper is there is going to be a price drop, or wait a couple more months and see in an 80GB concole comes out.

What do you think I should do?

If you're not going to play PS2 games on it stick with the 40gig because it runs cooler than the other models and has slightly upgraded wireless.

PSP 2.6 > 2.71 > 1.5 > 3.02 oe-b > 3.03 oe-c > 3.30 oe-a > 3.71 m33-2
PS3 60gig 1.55 > ... > 2.36

Thats what he meant, if your not interested in playing any ps2 games keep the 40gb. It runs cooler than the ones that do play ps2 games (60gb and 80gb).

Hi bigo93, I work in retail and have not even heard even a whisper about the 80GB, we did about the 40GB. Then again retail staff or even Sony's reps don't get told much...

I'd stick with what you've got.

That's the thing with europe. They didnt release the 80GB console since hey said it wasnt worth seliing it since the 60GB one was good enough. But now we dont even have that, how can Sony justfy not releasing the 80GB console now? (apart fromt he cost of making it and ripping off the european consumers like everyone does)
