PS1 games converted from PSP to PS3?

Is there a way to convert the PS1 games form PSP to PS3 or any way to rip a PS1 and save it on your PS3 HDD to play?

If you have an official PS1 game (ie. bought from the PS Store), then it can be played on the PS3 as well. You cannot play games you have downloaded or ripped yourself, or any other backup game for that matter.

Theres no way to find out the file type the ps store uses and convert a ripped copy that I personally own to it?

No, AFAIK they are in eboot format, but if you converted your own it would give a copy protection error.
