Which program can I use to rip a DVD-9 to DVD-5, but I would like a program that allows me to choose which extras I want to rip and which I want to keep? I have already tried DVD Shrink and am not very satisfied with it.

None of you were very helpful... I said I don't want to use DVD Shrink. Are there any programs out there that are like DVD Shrink, but that let me choose which extras I want to keep and which I want to rip out completely? Like is DVD Rebuilder any good?

You said you tried shrink, but was not happy with it, NOT, "I don't want to use shrink"

Mate the best i could advise you is to use CloneDVD 2 and this does everything it lets you pick and choose the chapters you wanna keep and also compresses the disc as well like shrink all in one program. Worth the $$$

then apparently you didn't read the thread huh? because there are many options in there other than dvd shrink. Yes DVD Rebuilder is a good program its a encoder not a transcoder like dvd shrink, clonedvd and dvdfab platinum are, but depending on your system it takes alot longer and also you will still need a ripper first like anydvd or dvdfab decrypter

If we weren't helpful...then usually there's not enough details. You original post stated you weren't satisfied with Dvd Shrink...not that you didn't want to use it. Your misinformation cannot be blamed on those seeking to help you. Sometimes peope don't know how to operate the programs to achieve their end goal.
Yes...DVD Rebuilder is a great program. It's a little more complex that using Shrink, and because it's an encoder vs. transcoder it does take a little longer.

I would suggest for your situation to use either Ripit4me or Dvd Fab HD Decrypter to rip the movies to the hard drive. All of the programs I am suggesting are FREE. Then, use VobBlanker to edit out any of the junk (trailors, warnings etc.). Then, if you have to, use Dvd Shrink to shrink the movie to fit onto a DVD 5 (single layer dvd), only if it won't fit onto a single layer disc after using VobBlanker. At this time, you can also "uncheck" the foreign audio that may appear within that movie in Dvd Shrink. Once you have shrunk the movie, then burn it. Hope this helps.
