My machine is now not functioning. The read out window says "Test * L1" It will not eject or accept any commands. Any ideas? Thaanks, Jack
Try pressing and holding in for 20 seconds the power button on the front of the E85. If that still doesn't work, unplug the E85 for an hour. For some reason your E85 has entered the test mode. All settings are wiped out including the TV Guide. The contents of the hard disk should still be there. Have you ever opened up the E85 and looked at the capacitors under the hard disk? You might have a power supply problem.
Thanks... but I can power it off and on but still get the test error. Unplugged it over night with no change. I called Panasonic and tried their suggestions to hold in eject,channel up and stop buttons with no effect. they said send in to Panasonic for repair @$130. What would a power supply problem look like if I opened it up? I may be best off just sending it in. Jack
