Xbox soft mod - now my dvd drive will not boot up games

A friend just soft mod my xbox and I'm now my dvd drive will not boot up games. Dvd's work fine. It lets me copy them to my hard drive but not games! I've tried two drives and same thing. any idea's?

If the game settings are not set-up to autoplay games on boot up, they won't play. Depending what software you are using, such as evox, avalanch etc, you may need to go to the start up menu to play games. If you also have XBMC, you could play them from there
