I have a WII chipped with D2CKey and I've been trying to get couple of gamecube games to work. I don't understand what the issue is, but it's not working.
Here are the attempts I've tried :
Super Smash Brothers Melee - 1.4gb ISO burnt at 4x with ISOBurn. Stuck at black screen with no audio.
Super Smash Brothers Melee - Used MultiIsoCreator and shrinked the size to 1.1gb. Still same error
Legend of Zelda Wind Waker - 1.4gb ISO burnt at 4x with ISOburn. Shows the Nintendo Logo sign, but freezes at black screen afterwards.
Legend of Zelda Wind Waker - Used MultiISOCreator and shrinked the size to 1.1gb. It works until the end of the introduction scene - It freezes with the black screen again.
I honestly don't understand the issue here. What is it that I am doing wrong? I tried to search the forum to see if anyone else is having similar issue, but looks like this might be a unique issue I am facing. Any help would be greatly appriciated!
K I just tried the PAL version for Wind Waker. (I also forgot to mention my WII was NTSC). The game doesn't even load (Doesn't show the nintendo logo at all).
Hi,
I have a D2CKey and it works fine with all these games.
maybe a burning question.
Also I inform you that I had some kind of problems like this, but i found out when launching games from gcos, some work only if i press X, some others only if i press A, etc.
Try it and let me know if it works

as he is using GCOS multi, he doesnt need the NTSC version as that is taken care by gcos multi. He just has to make sure that the destination ISO is NTSC (even if his games are all PAL.
So using an NTSC in this case is not necessary. But I guess l46kok is no longer interested in this point or he found a solution as he didnt provide any feedback :)
I am most definitely interested in the solution. The reason why I have not been replying is because I haven't seen any useful replies just yet. Any other bright ideas?
I guess you know what the word "feedback" means. No one can give you more input unless you tell them what works and what doesnt. I stated clearly in my previous reply to tell me if it works, which you never did. How would we know, if it worked or no.
I have these games working perfectly as standalone disks and as multidvd games. what dvds are you using?
Oh, I thought I have made a reply about that question. I have absolutely no clue how it got deleted. I apologize for not checking.
I have tried to boot the game using Auto,Pal,NTSC,480p. Virtually all settings. Still doesn't work.
I used couple of different dvds. Most notably, DVD5 Verbatim and other 2 I am not aware of. (I'm at work so I can't tell you the company until I go back.
Ok, I've just installed a D2C chip; purchased from foundmy. The Wii is a NTSC/UC console. So far all games that I have tested Wii, Gamecube, PAL or NTSC boot and play perfectly. So you either have one of the following: a corrupt D2C chip, bad installation, poor quality media, bad burns, bad images or a poor laser.
Dr_Roc, could you please tell me in specifics of what media and method you used to burn your images? And did the games I mentioned above work with yours?
