Wouldn't it benefit both Microsoft And Sony if they linked PSN & Xbox Live. It would help the PSN community grow and help Xbox LIVE make more money because people could play with their buddies on PSN.

Please No Fanboy comments.

I don't see how Microsoft would benefit really, they already have a huge player base; and allowing people to access it who don't have to pay isn't going to help them and is going to tick off alot of 360 owners who do have to pay. Besides all that making the two compatible is a nearly incomprehensibly hard thing to do with little pay off to boot, its like fitting a square in a circle hole.

The one thing similar to this I want is a cross console online game where we can face off against 360 players and vice versa.

PSP 2.6 > 2.71 > 1.5 > 3.02 oe-b > 3.03 oe-c > 3.30 oe-a > 3.71 m33-2
PS3 60gig 1.55 > ... > 2.41

stil couldnt happen. if you think about it xbox360 uses completely different code in the game so you would have to set up several dedicated servers and have a program installed on each which converted each and every line of code to ps3 language or vice versa.
It would cost way too much. The only game it could of possibly payed off for the company is Grand Theft Auto IV but they didnt incorporate it so there.

Its not like they couldn't afford it, that would have actually made it close to being worthy of a 10/10.
