Off-center problem when playing some ps1 disc on ps2

I have a modded Asian ps2 (SCPH 90006/NTSC-J)

The problem is some PS1 games (eg castlevania chronicle(NTSC-U),hokuto no ken (NTSC-J)) appear to be off center and leave black bar on top off the screen.

I connect my ps2 to TV using standard TV cable since My TV doesn't have S-Video input , It also doesn't has any option to adjust the position screen.

Is there any way to fix this ?

My modded chip is M7 chip.
