wmp won't play video

I just bought a panasonic camcorder. When I download the video from the cam's harddrive onto my computer and I go to play it the sound works perfectly but there is no video. I want to edit the video in premiere pro but the program won't recognize it. Any help with these problems would be greatly appreciated.

Use 'The KMPlayer' or 'Windows Media Classic'.
