Difficulty playing an M2TS File on my PS3 - Suggestions

Hello
I have converted a DVD movie to an M2TS File using tsmuxeR.
All goes well with that but when it comes to playing it on my PS3 they won't.
Doesn't even read it as a viable file format.
I am using TVersity to try and achieve this which does play both MPEG 2 and Divx formats.
I was under the impression that this file format (M"TS) would play on the PS3?
Any thoughts and suggestions wold be appreciated.

Tversity likely isnt reformatting it correctly, do you have ffdshow installed?

You need to change the filetype from .m2ts to .m2t so tversity can see it.

What type are the video an audio streams contained within this M2TS file?

I took a series of VOBs and ran them through tsmuxeR.
It creates the file but it doesn't work.

i used to have that problem, but then i figured out that windows media 11 was also sharing on the same port...you might be running into that problem too...

try using the windows media 11 server and just rename that file's extension from .m2ts or .mts to .mpeg...worked like a charm
