I believe I'm in the right place...Home Theater PC. I have a new dell quad-core with a GeForce 8600 GT graphics card I use daily for work, pc games, xbox 360, and HDTV. My current setup is to a 22" westinghouse monitor via DVI cable with a resolution of 1680x1050. It looks very crisp. My problem is I just purchased a new 26" westinghouse TV (though I have not received it yet) with a native resolution of 1366x768. You may already know that is a 16x9 format which I love (for movies). So, the resolution is obviously lower than the 22" monitor...is this an issue? Will this look different? I won't be happy unless the image is just as crisp as the 22" monitor. Do I cancel my order now? :\ On a side note, the 26" westinghouse tv does not accept DVI, but it has 2 HDMI ports. I read somewhere else that DVI to HDMI is no problem - no degredation of quality (however the opposite is not true). I would like it if someone would confirm that for me. Thanks much for reading and *hopefully* you'll have an answer for me
chances are since its a 26 inch u wouldnt notice a difference but once u hit the 32-37 inch mark u may want to get the 1080ps i have a 37 13366x768 or somethin like that and its okay i play games n it looks fine but when u play movies they arent as crisp as a normal tube unless ur using Windvd9 and using the all2hd feature which makes anything look kickass 16:9 feature idk what the benefit is i mean i still see those gaddang black blocks so theres no benefit for me any ways but if i were u i wouldhave gotten a higher rez to be safe buy a 32 inch while ur at it lol
