hi there,
iam running vista ultimate and my original system was vista home basic.i had to update my window and when i did i actually had to reinstall everything and i did.my nero 8 worked fine until i switched the laptop off.when i switched on the next day i could burn/copy any format except dvd-video.i mailed the guys at nero and they said i must download nero vision.i tried but vision wont install iyt said something bout i need direct x 9.1.now i have been on the net looking for this and all i seem to get is direct x 9.0c.

however i dont seem to think its nero vision as i never had it when nero 8 worked perfectly and also when i uninstall nero it works but when i switch of laptop it dont work when i switch it back on the greyed icon is back.i spoke to a few itc guys in the company and they seem to not know why.

then i also did a silly thing actually my it guy he never made recovery discs ,according to my info i got with the laptop i can recover from my recovery folder in my computer.but when i go and check my recovery drive it shows there is 20gigs worth of info when i click on it it says there is nothing in this folder.how do i open this.and how do i recover my vista home basic software back as i still have the key .please help urgently...i know i ask alot!!!!
