Need Help going from VGA back to Component

Just as the thread topic says. I just switched to VGA to see which is better and i am more hapy with the component cables because the color is just so much better with component cable. There is a small increase in sharpness with the vga bust its not enough to want to lose out on all the briliant colors.

Anyways...now that i have gone to VGA, it wont let me go back to component. Every time i plug it into my HDTV it gives me a "Incompatible Signal" error......i cant figure out what to do1!!!

PLease help!!

that is odd because i have gone back and forth a few times. Did you change any settings on the TV or on the console itself?

I've had that before. You have the monitor setting at a resolution your tv can't handle.

Hook it back up to the monitor (so you can see what you're doing), set it to 640x480, then switch back to your component cable/tv. Then reset it to what your tv can handle.

u know, i tried that and my tv still wont read it...maybe its my tv or something...im gonna try getting it to set back using another tv and than set the component for the resolution the tv can read via component...ill let you know if works tomorrow :) thanks for the help

thanks for help all. It was my tv, i needed to connect the component to a tv that reads YcBcRc and not just YpBpRp. So i had to use my bros PC monitor that had component hook ups to reset it. Thanks again
