im following the dummies guide to hacking the 360....

so i connected my xbox drive to my comp with sata cable, put the slax cd into the computer and turn the 360 and comp on (i tried this with a dvd movie in the xbox and with no disc in the xbox drive)
the slax boots up and the first time it used KDE and it went straight to the linux desktop. so i turned off the comp and the xbox, and then turned them back on. this time i selected text only setup for slax. i ended up with nothing saying "spinning up disc" like it does in the .pdf, it just took me to a command line login. i downloaded this slax cd from (i think) the slax website. im planning on redownloading it from xbins. im guessing that it was the wrong slax image cd. anybody have any ideas on what else it could be?

what are good burners ? anybody seen anythin good on ebay, or can i trust a pioneer one from best buy?

ive got the kreon and all i need to do is flash and get a burner.
verbatim is the best media to use ive heard?
