   Hi
   
   I have just freshly installed Windows XP onto this PC, and now when I press shift and the number 2, this symbol appears " instead of @ it seems like there is only a problem when i press shift plus a number.
   
   
   Any ideas?

   You need to change the language of the keyboard layout. This is done in the regional and language options in the control panel.
