Hello afterdawn forums I have been trying to flash my Samsung MS28 for the last few days I Read and followed all the guides and even researched for hours myself.

How I started : I have my VIA CARD(http://www.modchip.ca/store/product.php?productid=16491&cat=284&page=1)

Firmware: 1.4 Xtreme 12x

My Bios wont allow me to Boot USB so I tryed the NTFS for DOS CD It detected my drive everything was going well I typed c:
cd iprep_~1(thats wut my iprep was)
dsam my drive (Idump 1234567 12345 didnt work)
Power Off Selected Option 2(Xtreme Pri) Counted 10 seconds
It read the firmware it counted to 100% 4 Times or so then said REBOOT! So I did.

Did the same thing typed fsam my drive power off select option 2(Xtreme Pri) count 10 seconds
It said Updating 0% ERR: fail to read input file.

The Problem: Now when I go back into that I type fsam my drive wait 3-15 seconds (TRIED ALL COMBINATIONS) It Hangs at something saying Port: b800 master/slave: ao

So I made a Iprep Floppy same thing Hangs at the same comand for both dSam and fSam but I put My original Firmware on the floppy from the C: from iprep folder from using NTFS and put it on the floppy in the backup folder and now it says dsam is not necessary.

Summary: My drive is detecting using my VIA SATA Card but just not flashing.

Who ever helps me fix this problem I will personnely pay you 10$ Via payal ThanX and PLZ HELP

what do you mean you cant go into the bios? Im pretty sure mostly all computers can. Look for a hot-key at the startup. for me it was the delete key. Here I know you have already tried tuts. and all, but since I had a hitachi, and i have no clue how to flash a samsung ill just give you this, disregard it if you have already used it.

with my setup I don't even have to go into bios. I just unhook all drives and it boots to my usb drive.

As a matter of fact I have to do that with my comp. Even going in to bios and setting it to boot to usb with my other drives connected...it won't. My comp has issues, I know.

Another note: I have nforce4 chipset and use dosflash16 to flash the ms25/ms28 drives. Maybe that would work for you as well. I don't know.

Edit: it sounds to me like it didn't create the hacked firmware, so there was nothing there to flash back.

As I said, I use dosflash16 to flash these drives because I have nforce4 chipset. So, my methods may differ from the chipset you have.

yea just make your usb bootable with iprep, unplug your drives and it will boot off of your usb stick.

I haven't flashed my box it over a year, and wow the guide certainly have changed. When i fist flashed it, it was old school command, and copy paste key, no fancy iprep or what not.

i just wanna know where my ten dollars is.... obviously he fixed it and ran. fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. dont worry i wont be folled twice, neither will the rest of the guys in this forum. I dont really want ten dollars, i dont even have a pay pal account. but i have to admit thats the most orig. post i have seen in awhile. just let us know if it works or not thats reward enough for us.

i think he owes me the ten bucks. And also, replay if it worked.
