So I wanted to format my comp and reinstall windows, formatted ok, yet now when I try and install windows I get either of the following issues:

    1) If I try and install Vista it comes up with "Windows did not start properly" and some unknown error code

    2) If I try and install XP then I get the blue screen and the bar at the bottom which says its loading the various components, but then says starting windows and just freezes there

I have to seperate hard drives and I've tried disconnecting one or the other to install on either hard drive and it presents the same problem

Can anyone help me out as im fresh out of ideas....??

    Many thanks in advance....

    Are your hard drives valid.

    Are they functioning

And have you checked your memory to see if it is bad.
