slow internet on vista

    Ok, my brand new Vista PC's wireless internet connection (WUSB54GC by Linksys) that is at 100% connection is going about a quarter of the speed it is supposed to go (500kbps instead of 2000kbps), while this is tolerable it's annoying.

    I've tried the command prompt fix and didn't help, I tried disabling the optional network properties and it didn't help. And I can't find any other fixes online so please help me
