I had a semi bricked PSP before and I made a Pandoras battery and Magic memory stick and then loaded it up and all seemed to work fine. I restarted PSP started it up and then it just shows the waves and they dont move. Please help. Also is this normal I ahd a battery that ran properly and when I shut my psp off took out the battery and put it back in it worked as a pandoras battery?

That's definitely unusual. When I used my pandora's battery it worked perfectly fine. If you haven't tried redoing the process, I suggest you do that. You could plug in your AC adapter and charge up your battery to help the chances of it going smoothly, and also, while it's updating, don't touch the PSP. Let it run its course, then follow the instructions it gives.

I did all that. I made a Pandoras battery before in the past but now it doesnt work.

Funny, I also have a problem with my PSP, and just now when I turned it on (running firmware v1.5), it froze at the XMB, then after rebooting froze at the "Sony Computer Entertainment". After that though, I rebooted and it worked fine. I'm not sure if our situations are related. So just try rebooting a few times. That's all the help I can give you, sorry.

Ok I redid it and the waves move now but thats it.

Its an internal problem..... Try this. In the bottom right corner under the battery there is a screw(Its covered by the sticker.), take it out, its most likely creating a short circuit. Let me know if it works or not. If not you may have to open it up and do a simple thing. I'll write a tutorial if needed.

When the waves were moving I opened the UMD tray by accident and then a menu came up to change my setting when I changed them it worked. Thank you for the help everyone.

Its strange how thaqt got it working again, you should go into the recovery menu and flash the PSP in the advanced menu after using pandoras battery

Go into the recovery menu, select advanced and format the flash

And what will it do?

It will format the flash.
After using older versions of pandoras battery this was necessary to complete the installation of custom firmware after downgrade.

Basically:
The older versions of UV unbricker / pandoras batter process was to put in mem stick then batt then press X.

After this had finished turn on in recovery mode, select advanced and select format Flash1

This was the process, and unless you did this when you turned on ths PSP the waves would not move and the PSP would not turn on properly

I already upgraded to a 3.80 m33-5 would this still work without doing anything bad to it?

It wont do anything bad to your PSP, will simply reset all options and put the original files back into flash

If tis all working then dont worry but in future if you use pandoras battery and the waves stop mosving when you turn the PSP on then go into recovery, then advanced and format Flash1.
