ok, shrink keeps telling me the movie is too big for the disc. well it clearly shows plenty of room. HELP.

Single layer discs can hold at most 4400 Mb of data. You are way over for sl. Need dl

thanks , so i go buy dl disc's . sl is single layer and dl is double layer...right?

You only want to use +R, not -R. Verbatim made in Singapore.
As to where to get them, it depends on where you live.

i live in california but im looking online for dvd's. ok i went to the store and bought some dl's so do i just go ahead and burn like a regular dvd? i mean i dont have to turn it over or anything do i ? im sorry, im really new at this as you can tell.

If they're not Verbatim +R dl, you're taking a chance that some will work and some may not. You may be able to remove languages you don't need thus making the size of your project smaller and then compress with Shrink. I always use DVD Rebuilder.
