There are many third pary jukebox applications. The most popular is Media Monkey. It has a shareware version. Some users get confused because it has so many options. Pay attention to the left hand window. That is where you select what you see in the main window. The location view is very useful if your music has poor or missing tag data. The view is organized by the way you organized your folders. The syncing options are also quite useful. You will need to remove itunes or at least shut off auto sync. I tunes will interfear when it discovers you are using a third pary software.

greening, I am sorry but itunes out of the box is not for anyone that prefers to listen to HiFi music. There are plug ins they can play and create HiFi tunes but they are not compatible with regular itunes music. I know for a fact it down grades high bit rate mp3s to low bit rate m4as during the sync. All you need to do is look on your ipod with a tool that can check bit rates. I could not hear the difference when playing them on itunes either. I can only guess that itunes converts everything to low bit rates as they play. itunes sells 128 BR tunes so they do not want their users to know what they are missing. That is why most itunes users think 128 BR is CD quality when it is not even close. itunes to only for people that don't know any better. You can bow down and worship it all you want but it is garbage.
