he shouldnt have any ports pop up if hes flashing a benq, i believe thats only for samsungs. heres what i do to flash a benq with iprep.

step 1: put USB stick into USB slot
2: open up iPrep
3: load firmware definition (1.4.1)
4: select drive letter from drop down box
5: hit make bootable
6: shut down computer
7: deassemble 360 and hook the dvd drive up to the PCI card
8: turn computer on, boot off the USB stick
9: follow command prompts (it will put the orig.bin on the USB stick after you run the dben 1234567 12345 command.)
10: shut down 360 and computer and restart into windows
11: open up Firmware toolbox and make sure the FW it dumped is a legit one. if so move on, if not do as i said before to copy and paste a legit key in it.
12: restart computer and boot off the USB drive.
13: follow command promts and run the fben 1234567 12345 command to erase/flash the drive with the 'hacked' firmware.
14: shut down 360 and computer
15: put a burnt game in it to make sure it plays.
16: if it plays, put 360 back together
17: if it doesnt play games, see if it will play original games then restart computer off the USB drive, hook 360 back up and run the rben 1234567 12345 command to restore it to original shape. and start over.

theres also a good video tutorial at robinhoodsplayground.com. i believe thats the name of the site.

i think you still have to choose the xtreme port and iprep will make the firmware for him...no need for firmware toolbox unless you are injecting keys

monteca--

firmware tool box is pretty much essential if you are using iprep as it tends to screw up the key it flashes the drive with, while the backups are perfectly fine. so you have to check it or you will get about a million checksum errors and have to do the rben command and then reflash it.

jluecero23--

make sure you have the sata cable plugged into the sata slot closest to the front of the pc. it should go back of case, sata slot, ide slot, then another sata slot. use the very front slot and it should work.
