I recently upgraded to Nero 8. In the older version I had the program would automatically adjust the size of the files to fit the media. In Nero 8 it doesn't seem to to that or I can't figure out how to enable this function.

Any ideas?

I knew that was in there somewhere.

N8 has some differences and they're not always evident.

One thing that seems to be different - or maybe it's just the particular DVD I'm working on is that N8 won't actually fit all data on one DVD the way the old Nero did and even though it sez - "fit on one disc", etc. So I'm burning a disc and N8 is trying to put 5.03GB worth of data on it.

Perplexing.

yeah sort of noticed that where it says fit to disc, use the other settings i think it is.

yeah - what I discovered is that I had to change the bitrate manually down to a point where the data will fit on the disc - a la the older versions of Nero.
it seems odd that a "newer" version would go back to the old ways . . . .
