removing a dvd drive from a Ilo DVDR04

    what size and type screw drivers are need to remove the dvd drive from the Ilo DVDR04?

    Phillips # 2 and 1
    This is to remove the case top and drive itself

    Replacing the drive is not a big deal. It is more difficult in the ilo R04 as it has ametal plate in back of the front. While tight the Replacement drive WILL FIT

    The liteon 5005 is [ the ilo is a liteon] easier.

    Go to these sites for info pictures and instructions also drives to use for full function
    Is Fast Forward [FF] If not needed there are others

    There are instructions for inside the case If outside is ok the replacement is simple

    EDIT
    To remove the drive the drive tray must be open and the front trim piece on the tray front [Removed] it is slit down on the tray front it can e released from under the tray wit a flat o]tool as a butter knife and slid straight up from the tray. The notched on the new tray will have to be enlarges somwhat to accomodate this front piece

    so is that the philps #2 screwdriver is remove the dvd drive the player ( sorry kinda hard to follow your post) or do i need both to do so?

    I had used the #2 to remove the case and the #1 to remove the drive itself

    I did edit the post you might want to read it again

    The innstructions are on those sites I gave.

    If you go ahead. Please post questions on those sites given. I will answer there
