sorry to many beers that night. Need a program to convert VOB files to AVI to save space on Hd (hopefully free). Oh and having issues with Win media playing back some Divix and Xvid. So the qestion is what codec can I get to fix these Xvid issues.

There that should straiten some stuff up. Sorry for the chpped up writing there. Hope I didnt use anything obsceen.

Auto Gordian Knot should do the conversions 4 U
VLC is a lot better Player then Win media, also Media Player Classic. Both these use a lot less resources, Quality is also Superior
