Hi all and thanks in advance for all the help. I recently bought a Verizon V3M on ebay, it works fine but it doesn't have all the features of the V3M I gave my dauaghter that I got from VZ, she lost her Samsung Gleam so I gave her my new V3M ( both were new, just signed up to VZ back in Feb 08 ) I got a replacement V3M from ebay for myself. Now that you know a bit of the history. My V3M (ebay) has the ugly red banner on the external screen, can't program much in the way of keys and functions. It has the memory slot and memory card. I have used Pk2 and been able to make MPT work on the phone and made it a V3MM now so I can add MP3's to use as ringtones and been able to download pics and add my contacts. But the keypad is not at all friendly, need better features. The phone has the NEWC_01.09.02 firmware installed. It originally came with NEWC_01.05.0A < I got this info from under the battery. I also see that it has no MEID nor ECN LISTED , it only has HEX # that I used to activate the phone with. My daughter's phone has the 24.1_01.19.07 firmware. What I'd like to know, is it possible to upgrade my V3MM to the 07 f/w (can the phone support it?) if so how do I go about it?, if not, how do I go about putting my phone back to original f/w 0A ? What features will the 0A F/W have? better than the 02 I hope.

I do not know the differences between the two firmwares as I use AT&T. The best knowledge I know about loading new firmware is that you need to find it online and download it... Then connect your phone to your computer and flash the new firmware to it... NOTE: This may cause irreverable damage to your phone if its incomptable...
