Hey guys, I updated 4 boxes, 2 clone, 2 1st gen and 1 new genuine. I used the clone firmware on the clone boxes with no problems, and the genuine on the others. The newest genuine box seems to be working fine but the 2 1st gen have both died. Is that the right firmware to use on these? Also, when i turn on the broken boxes i hear a slight tick noise from inside the box. I saw something about when you hear that sound and think it had a possible fix guide but cant find it again. Could anyone link it to me or explain it? While ive only been a lurker till now you have been a massive help in the past so thanx for everything. Hopefully i can get these up and running again
the clone fix would not have killed any of them providing they were all normal starview 1 box but all the help is here http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/531363
ah right. Is it possible to Jtag 1st generation boxes? I thought i read somewhere here that its only possible with clones. If it is possible, would anyone know of someone in the Dublin area that can do it as i havent a clue how. Cheers again for all the help.
