I used to have no issue with playing DVDs on my computer, I got a nasty virus and had to reflash the computer and now when I try to open DVDs my computer powercycles. My video card is gigabyte technology GV-R80P256D, I tried to download drivers but I am such a noob I wouldn't be suprised if they are either out of date or incorrect for this card type. I am also not sure if it could be a problem with my codecs, please someone help.

Check the event viewer and see if you can find an error at the time
    of the crash.
