It seems like my lame mp3 codec has disappeared from virtualdub. I'm not sure why, but it's gone. All my movies that I've got in my pc are saying mpeg layer 3 audio, when I know they're all lame mp3. I'm thinking I may have to do a restore again. Any ideas? Thanks.

Obviously you don't know what "mpeg layer 3" means. If you had bothered to google it you would have found that it means MP3. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MP3

It could be that some stupid windows update has just changed the way your system lists file types or your codecs need updating. Why don't you download just the codec and install it.. see what happens.
