Ok I do not know where else to post this thread so I suppose I will do it hear since it involves my mac book pro. I want to purchase an external hard drive to back up my mac and to store movies on it. Once I have stored the movies on the external hard drive, can i watch them on my mac as easy and starting it up? What i really mean is will i have to copy it back over to my MBP's hdd in order to watch it? or will i be able to watch the movie instantly with it stored on my external hdd? i know its a rather stupid question but its bugged me for a while. thanks!!
you should be able to watch them on the external hard drive. I would recommend hooking it firewire 400 or 800. as its faster
