Hey Firstly this is my second xbox so im hopping no to screw it up (failed softmod on the old 1) Anyway my girlfreind just gave me her old modded emerald xbox (it plays backup games)it has a Xecuter2 (not sure which version) Id like to install a new dashboard on it heres a list of things i wish to do Mod Halo 2 (not cheating related) Play Backup Games New Dashboard iv just tried using a evox boot disc but it just says the xbox cant recognize it (i dunno if its been flashed) (i dunno if it has to be flashed to play copied games) if anyone can help me with installing a new dashboard, please do so and is there anyway to tell if its been flashed? also what are the three switches on the front of the modchip for ?
The 3 switches (from left to right) turn the chip on and off, select bios bank 1 or 2, enable flash/flash protect. You need to try switch 1 in both positions. It seems that the chip is disabled right now, or your slayers disk is on a form of disk which the xbox drive won't read.
its on a DVD-R i used AID but it just says the xbox cant read the disc any ideas with what i should do
Errm... is it booting a modded dash currently? What's it doing?? reading any dvd's at all.. making funny noises.. can't tell.. One thing I do know is the old xbox drive will not read 16x disks. Never had one worki9ng yet, regardless of brand (I have 4 consoles.. 1 philips, 1 tommy and 2 samsung 605b's) They are really picky on dvd disks sometimes. There is a bit of an art to burning for xbox.
