I just got NFS Most Wanted for PC but im coming across a VERY annoying problem. for some odd reason i am constantly going to either the right or the left, its not the keyboard because i used a controller and a different keyboard which did the same thing. this kinda also does it with Fable: The Lost Chapters but in that game, with some windows where you can scroll down to read more text it always goes down and you cant pull the bar back up because it just keeps going down. i havent really noticed anything else from any other games though.

also note i do use no-dvd cracks, not sure if that would mean anything or not

    try calibrating your game pad.

NAVIGATION:- control panel. printers and other hardware. game controllers. properties

make sure your controller is detected (gotta be plugged in)

EDIT: pc game controllers are really wierd. they don't work as good as console controllers. you'd expect them to but i don't think the game makers put any effort or very little effort into gamepad support for the pc. i have a dual shock and rumble game pad but i can't even adjust how much the person should turn in unreal tournament 2004 with the analog stick. i guess they're only best for emulation

i think it's impossible for it to be motherboard. it has to be:-

    a) calibration required

    b) damaged controller

make sure when you insert the controller, all analog sticks are centered and that you dont fiddle with them while inserting.

other options you could try are, try a second controller. if controller 2 is fine i would say controller 1 is faulty. are you using usb or another slot?

i am 99% sure it is calibration or the fact that the analog sticks are not in the centre when slotting. please make sure you DO calibrate the controller using the calibrate button in the control panel and game controller section.

EDIT: have you tried multiple games with the same problem or is it just these two games with the problem?

its not just the controller thats doing it. it does the same thing with using the keyboard, I had also tried using a different keyboard but it still did the same thing. so far i havent notice this on any other games besides these 2

i think it's a keyboard fault as your controller is plugged in simultaneously as your keyboard. but then you did say it was both keyboards. try switching the mouse and keyboard slots at the back of your computer. if they're wireless, try another usb slot
