I just recently bought a phillips dvd rw recorder and it gave me a list of compatible discs to use and i have bought sony dvd-r sony -dvd+r and maxwell dvd-r and memorex dvd+r and when trying to press record it saying error can not record in +Vr mode what does that mean why cant i record anything does it mean i need to only use dvd+rw or something
What is it that you are trying to record? Not sure here but I kinda suspect a copy-protection (CP) issue. You will find CP issues when trying to record a commercial DVD or VHS, some old home VHS may be used to the point that the signal will be mistaken for CP. Also dependant on your tv signal provider, some broadcasts are also encrypted.
