Magnavox mwr20v6 acting up

I've had this magnavox for less than a year and was working fine until this afternoon. The VCR started to stop playing, etc. Now the DVDs won't play at all. There is the "loading" message and right after that the combo turns off by itself. Looks like there is a VCR record stuck. Do you know what is the problem? Do you know if I can reset the whole thing? I did unplug/plug but the problem still persists.
