TV hookup to PC

    I have a sony tube TV and I tryed to hook up my PC to it, it worked aknd I was able to get my desktop and everthing on the TV except when I play an avi file it does not show all I get is a black screen on the TV just where the video is playing and eveything works on the PC. Can anyone tell me how I can resolve this issue.

    your tv may not be able to show that resolution. Lower the resolution.

    accually I figured it out like a month ago. It was codecs.
