    Hi
Hope I have posted in the correct place.

My laptop is broken and have managed to connect it to Pc via an adapter and usb cable. I have managed to get my important financial details saved ( thank god ) but would like to format and reset hard drive using the recovery disk. Is it possible to do this whilst connected to the pc, if so how would you do it.
I would prefer not have my financial details available when it is repaired under ther the warranty

    Thank you in advance.

i don't understand why you would need to format it while its connected to a PC?

if you have connected the hard disk to it then remove all your other pc Hard disk and insert the recovery dick and it should start setup as normal

if you have connected the laptop up then just insert the disk in the drive of the laptop and just run setup
