I just got a 32' lcd tv(akai if that helps in anyway) and at the top of the screen there is a mark that looks like a sort of smudge coming down the middle of the screen. I tried wiping it with a cloth but that didnt help I tried messing with the settings of the tv but that didnt help either. I thought it was burn in but then I found out that lcd tvs cant have burn in. Can anyone tell me whats going on?
If it's a new tv, there shouldn't be anything wrong with it! Take it back if you can't fix the problem.
Sounds like it might be backlight bleed or else there is a defect on the outside of the screen itself, take it back and get another, if it's backlight bleed it'll never go away. Good Luck
