I need to update my graphics card so I can play new games on my PC. You can see my system specs below. Should I get a good AGP card or upgrade my motherboard so I can use a PCI-E one.

the thing with an apg card is that there not as fast as a pci-e card because AGP IS ONLY 8X and PCI-E IS 16X so i would recermend that you update your motherboard to one with a pci-e slot , and you are going to need to extra speed when it come to the new games. i would recermend the ASROCK ALIVE NF6G-VSTA motherboard a very good board. i have one and i love it. but i use the amd athlon 64 x2 4200+ works great along my nvidia 8600gt.

You can always get a 3850 - the best card out there for AGP.

High performance cards have had BIG issues with AGP in the past. You'd get far more out of it, and probably even better value for money if you went PCI express.

Don't forget what upgrading your motherboard would mean tho, you wouldn't just be upgrading your video card afterwards. Unless you can find a new mobo that supports the same RAM, and the same CPU socket type so that you can use your old ones.

Indeed. Fortunately you have a relatively modern CPU and RAM so you can use them with an up-to-date board.
